Responsibilities

What You Will Accomplish
Based in our Montréal office, located in the heart of downtown, you will join a collaborative and agile team of about ten professionals to produce technical drawings and 3D models in building mechanics, developing detailed plans for mechanical systems.

Create technical 2D and 3D models:

  • Produce 2D drawings and 3D models (ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, heating) from sketches, engineering calculations, specifications, and draft data
    • Prepare detailed layouts for building mechanical systems (MEP): institutional (hospitals, long-term care centers), commercial (office towers), residential, and industrial (water treatment, pharmaceutical plants)
    • Ensure that all drawings comply with project requirements
    • Conduct occasional on-site measurements
    • Maintain strong communication and relationships with clients

Education and Certifications :

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Building Drafting or any other relevant diploma
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in technical drafting/modeling for building mechanical projects (heating, ventilation, cooling, plumbing)
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Proficiency in French and English (oral and written)
    • Software proficiency: Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred Qualifications (not required):
    • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (Building Code, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.)

Position Details

What We Offer
Position Highlights:
  • Full-time (40 hours/week) – Permanent position
  • Based in Montréal (Metro McGill – 630 Sherbrooke St. W, Montréal, QC, Canada)
  • Travel zone within Montreal and surrounding areas
  • Hybrid work model (office – client site – remote work up to 2 days per week)
  • Compensation starting at $26/hour, negotiable based on profile and experience
