Responsibilities
Based in our Montréal office, located in the heart of downtown, you will join a collaborative and agile team of about ten professionals. You will take part in the design, planning, and execution of mechanical projects, implementing technical solutions across a range of applications including process engineering, HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), industrial installations, and specialized mechanical equipment.
• Assist engineers in the design and modeling of mechanical systems using CAD software (Computer-Aided Design/Drafting)
• Participate in the preparation of technical specifications and detailed drawings for mechanical equipment
• Perform calculations and performance analyses to assess the feasibility and efficiency of proposed solutions
• Contribute to the selection of equipment and components based on project requirements and applicable standards
• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, engineering reports, and installation manuals
• Monitor project progress in collaboration with construction teams and provide technical support during execution
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications
• Participate in identifying and resolving technical issues that may arise during project implementation

Ideal Candidate
Education and Certifications :
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Building Drafting or any other relevant qualification
- Experience:
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in building mechanical engineering or a related field - Knowledge and Skills:
• Proficiency in French and English (oral and written)
• Strong understanding of mechanical system design principles and operation
• Ability to interpret building codes and industry standards - Software proficiency:
- Revit MEP
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office Suite
Profile :
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with clients and subcontractors
- Dynamic, curious, and solution-oriented, with the ability to think creatively and make informed technical decisions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to meet project deadlines and budget requirements
Position Details
- Full-time (40 hours/week) – Permanent position
- Based in Montréal (Metro McGill – 630 Sherbrooke St. W, Montréal, QC, Canada)
- Travel zone within Montréal and surrounding areas
Hybrid work model (office – client site – remote work up to 2 days per week)
Competitive compensation starting at $26/hour, negotiable based on profile and experience
- Monthly professional allowance: $20 for cell phone expenses and 50% reimbursement of public transit pass
